Howdy! Name’s Mike. Glad to meet you. I have enjoyed fishing since I was a 5 years old kid in East Texas. My dad and granddad would take me bass fishing in Texas and in lower Arkansas. Those were the days! I would catch fish so big that I thought they would pull me in. I remember the comradery as well as the smell of granddad’s cigar smoke blowing in the wind. I would do anything to go back and re-live those days.

But I have discovered that you can’t go backwards … only forwards. And since my family lives here in North Georgia, if I want to fish then I must find places near here where I can create new memories. And we all know the big lakes out there: Carters, Allatoona, Chickamauga, etc. But what about the small, out-of-the-way places where the real fish hide? This site is devoted to finding those places, and helping you and I enjoy the beloved past-time of fishing here in North Georgia.

See the Northwest Georgia Lakes page for a list of lakes in the Northwest Georgia area, along with additional information.
